There are many great singers in Reggae, and a few able to mix in Soul and Pop to create a unique sound. But there are very few who possess that golden voice – a voice that when you hear it, you know instantly who it is. At the top of that list stands veteran singer and songwriter Jack Radics. For more than 25 years, Jack Radics has quietly and deliberately guided his career to become an extraordinary artist, songwriter, and performer; a singer so recognizable, that from the first moment you hear those smooth, golden bass tones you suddenly feel caressed and warm all over. Think Barry White mixed with Lou Rawls, add a little Otis “Love Man” Redding for good measure, and you get close to the unique golden voice of Jack Radics.

His musical journey continues with the release of Way2Long, the latest CD on his Sound Faculty label. The title track is obtainable as a single download on iTunes and Amazon, and available to listen to on Spotify, iHeartRadio, and the Jack RadicsYou Tube channel. The album contains several songs penned by the high-volume hit maker, including the title track, “Hour Glass,” “The Truth,” “Make You Mine,” “All I Ever Wanted to Be,” “Birdsong,” and “Lion on His Throne.” He also adds his golden touch to Lucky Dube’s “The Other Side,” Macy Gray’s “Fireplace,” and Paul Young’s “Every Time You Go Away.” Musicians include Sly & Robbie, Dalton Browne, Dean Fraser, and Othneil Halliburton. Pam Hall, Fionna Forrest, and Bunny Brown provide vocal support. Producers include Geoffrey Forrest, Lynford “Fatta” Marshall, Ruediger Nieschmidt, and Jack Radics as executive producer.
Born on December 31 in Kingston, Jamaica, this New Year’s Eve baby was blessed with the gift of music. Playing piano and singing in school and church choirs as a child paved the way for today’s Jack Radics – a moniker he took on because of his multiple talents and radical thinking. As comfortable in a recording studio as on stage, the international platinum-selling Jack Radics has delivered dozens of albums and innumerable hit singles over his extensive career. Noteworthy record labels he’s worked with include Jamaica’s Penthouse, Digital B, Fat Eyes, and New Name Records, as well as international labels Sony, EMI, Jive, RCA, and Island.

Whether singing, writing, producing or performing, the inimitable Radics style shines through. His prolific published catalogue contains thousands of songs, and owing to his love of writing, there is an extensive catalogue waiting to be published. Jack Radics has enjoyed such major hits as “No Matter,” which topped charts around the world in 1999, and the No. 1, Gold and Platinum-selling “Twist and Shout” with Chaka Demus and Pliers in 1994. Jack Radics has been steadily in demand for shows, recording partnerships, and original songs. Gentleman, Germany’s premier Reggae performer has topped several charts with Gold and Platinum-selling Jack Radics-penned tunes. Collaborations include such Reggae and Dancehall greats as Shaggy, Tony Rebel, Super Cat, Yami Bolo, Reggie Stepper, and Josie Wales, and he has shared European stages with super stars Blondie and the late great Joe Cocker.
A highlight of 2014 was Jack Radics’ magnetic performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival along the shores of Lake Geneva, Switzerland. Backed by his Love and Laughter band, Jack Radics delivered a performance filled with energy and passion, his golden voice causing the Montreux staff to abandon their posts to enjoy the tasteful fusion of Reggae, Pop and Soul. His moving introduction of “Way2Long,” the new single that rose to the top of the Florida and New York Tri-state charts, was received heartily by this diverse, international and enthusiastic music crowd.
For 2015, Jack Radics has packaged his golden voice, tasteful talents, and his art of wrapping ribbon around smooth musical genres to present the world a gift he calls Conscious Music. It’s going to be an active year for the legendary singer, songwriter, and performer as he gears up to present the new Way2Long CD and his far-reaching roster of hit songs on tours to the U.S., Africa, and Asia.
